The flag shaggers around us must have only had a step ladder makes the whole village look like we are mourning someone

They went straight back up here, with a note saying our flag go straight back up

Time to recoup the cost from those putting them up.

That’s what councils normally do for littering or encroaching on public space. Or are they only going after lone women pouring coffee down a drain? Some real 2 tier justice when violent racists get away with it.

Who paid for these flags? I doubt the folks donning balaclavas paid for these flags.

Where were these flags made, China I expect.

We need to follow the money. Government are wont to invade our privacy at the drop of a hat.

If they are proud to be British where are the Welsh flags, the Scottish flags?

Not sure why councils have prioritized taking down George Cross flags. Can’t we call attaching flags to lampposts littering and then they can have fine like that poor lass who poured coffee into the gutter and down the drain.

Did they not spend 75 grand putting them up as well? Then complained they’d need to increase taxes 😅

Maybe find the people who put them up and make them take them down? Or get people on community service to take them down. This is why councils are broke, there’s no way it cost 70k to take down some flags.

Should have tendered 1k a week unlimited 8 hours a day flag removal service.

      70k…

    8. £70,000 that could have gone to something useful like paying one or two full time workers depending on the department or area and expertise. Instead it’s been spent to clear up after the perpetually angry and chronically online who get their kicks reading anger inducing articles, thinking the UK needs to worship a few colourful stripes for reasons no one can fathom or explain.

In fact, £70,000 could have been spent on a [Mental Health Practitioner in the Nottinghamshire Homelessness Team](https://findajob.dwp.gov.uk/details/17443677) with money to spare, or two of them if it’s not exactly £70,000.

Probably the same people who barely work and are a burden on the state, which is clearly true now that money and time has to be wasted clearing up these tacky flags. Flags are for flagpoles, it’s the respect flags deserve – not grimy lampposts flying at half-mast.

Edit: Quickly downvoted by flag worshippers who think this is a suitable amount of money Reform in Nottinghamshire have wasted.

    9. Medway council took 757 down for cost of about 11k and did it all over like a day. Around £14 per flag seems pretty fair for two people, cherry picker, putting signs down etc.

I’d still rather we didn’t have to spend the money in the first place considering our council is bankrupt.

Councils should just put flags up, take the flags out of the right wings hands.

Then don’t fuck sake these are flags of our country we should be proud to fly them not turn them into a controversial thing.
