So, the *perfect* job was to grind the clear varnish and reapply it. Which required special tools and a lot of work, unfortunately. Are you sure it is real wood and not laminate?

My moms go to for house repair is baking soda, but I doubt it would work here..
These look rather superficial to me. I’d try to buff/polish them out. Maybe try by hand first, and if it works, see if you can get a polishing tool for a cordless drill or angle grider.
That looks shallow enough to get away with polishing instead of grinding and coating I would say. I did that at my parents place with a rented polishing machine (basically the same as the grinder, just with a soft pad) a couple years ago and it got rid of 99% of scratches…
To me this doesn’t look like real scratches more like scuffs in the finish (e.g. rubber on finish will leave marks). Could you show close ups?
What kind of floor product do you use? With most [products](https://www.dm.de/emsal-bodenpflege-parkett-bio-protect-p4001499970122.html), you dillute it 1:10 with water for regular cleaning. For re-finishing you clean first, then use the product undilluted. It will create a new glossy layer.
There are also more sophisticated products from Bona with 3 steps: cleaner, finish remover, finish. Worth a try!
Don’t use any “Schmutzradierer” or you will scratch the floor!
