      But of course…

How can anyone in the civilized world expect the oh-so-civilized and oh-so-cultured Russians to know anything better?

The Russians have unilaterally chosen to freeze their understanding of themselves and the rest of the world to circa 1550 with the attendant takes on imperialism, feudalism (including serfdom), chauvinism being *de rigeur* in perpetuity.

They have chosen to close their beady eyes, pointy ears, and pea-sized brains to the hard-won lessons for mankind born of the Reformation, Renaissance, Counter-Reformation, Ages of Exploration and Colonization, Age of Enlightenment, Age of Revolution, Industrial Revolution and Atomic Era.

Just wondering if another country might have a team of elite soldiers who would be able to extract the Ukrainian people being sent there.
I know it’s not a walk in the park, but it can’t be as well guarded as Moscow or whatever further south west.

Same old shit that Russia has been doing for at least a century https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Population_transfer_in_the_Soviet_Union

This is why there are mostly-ethnically Ukrainian towns all the way along the Trans-Siberian railway. It’s not because they really wanted to go there; it was “go there or we’ll kill you”

In Operation Spiderweb, one of the bomber bases which were attacked was next to a village called “Ukrainka” in the Amur oblast, way in the back end of the far east in former Manchuria. Why on earth is there a village called Ukrainka there? Well, it was next to the rail line, so a good place to dump a couple thousand involuntary resettled Ukrainians. There are thousands of places like that. Fcking Rasha

German deported people had to wait more than 2 generations. Ukrainian will have to wait the same time or more. Why on earth do we allow it?
