People say things like “it’s grand out there” without a clue and end up going for swims in Galway needing to be recused.

Going on the roads with little to no visibility because of persistent rain and cross winds, and say it’s grand because it’s not a fucking tornado. Which seems to be the bare minimum some people expect to stop them doing anything

The storm only started properly at 2pm and is going to get worse as the day goes on.

Yes it might not be trampolines flying in the air but conditions are bad enough that if you can avoid travelling or being outside then do that, which is what is being advised.
