He is not great with the auld optics
>Paul Murphy has failed in his attempt **to block** an extension of opening hours for a large NCT test centre in his constituency over concerns that it would result in noise pollution at unsocial hours.
What a fucking nimby loser
We should close the roads after 7pm
Greenhill NCT Centre is in an industrial estate isn’t it?
Theres an estate nearby but that’s not even along the road that any would use to get to this centre from what I can think on layout of area – they’d use it to leave the estate in that direction at most. Also the road that anyone would use to get to Tallaght or Walkinstown depending on direction.
EDIT: Also is near Tymon North but really can’t understand the reasoning here.
Brought my car there for the NCT and tbh the only noise you hear is when your inside waiting and even than it’s minimal
Pretty standard for Murphy. One of the most negative politicians in the history of the state. PBP lost two of best and most constructive TDs in the Dail at the last election when Mick Barry and Gino Kenny lost their seats and kept one of the worst in Murphy.
Good, common sense prevails
Idk folks his constituents obviously had an issue, he seems to have tried to resolve it and was told no. Not sure how this is a reflection on his character, his party are anti car so this is hardly some sort of hypocritical reflection on his character or whatever some of you seem to think it is
Unsure what interest the Rosc9mmon Herald should have in this story tbh

Good. Everything needs certain trade offs. Some people want everything solved but no trade offs.
Remember, regardless of the party, all politics in Ireland is local.
All politics is local is right
I presume there are people who need the extended hours.
