Sure thing, Mr Burglar.
Problem is unless the cyberattack was against you specifically or the power outage only affected your street, your cash won’t be good for much. I’ve had situations where a shop refused to take my cash for a transaction because the same issue that took out their card payment system also took out their receipts tracking, and jotting down transactions on paper by hand was apparently against policy.
Well…I know inflation is a thing, but 600.- is not a “small” stash of cash…..
Where is the advice for businesses to train staff in using a paper ledger and lockbox? Almost every even cash only business shuts down in any power outage I’ve seen because they are all reliant on tills working.
