Ciao a tutti, sono uno studente di ingegneria informatica spagnolo e mi piacerebbe fare l’Erasmus in Polonia, mi piace molto il paese e la sua storia e volevo sapere tra le opzioni che mi offre la mia università quale secondo voi potrebbe essere la migliore da scegliere. Sto cercando posti che non siano troppo costosi e che abbiano una buona vita universitaria. Grazie in anticipo

Kraków and Warszawa are the largest cities in the country and the most expensive accordingly.
I would pick Gdańsk because of the air quality and open culture
If you want cheap, pick Łódź or Lublin. I’ve heard university life there is pretty good too, but can’t confirm. Not great education level though if that’s something you care about.
Kraków and Warszawa are the two biggest cities, lots of stuff to do and have the best universities, but they’re also obviously the most expensive (though now that I’m looking it up, Kraków still seems quite a bit cheaper than Warszawa).
Gdańsk and Poznań are inbetween I guess?

Poznań, Kraków, and Gdańsk would be my top recommendations, and in your place I would choose one of these. Poznań offers an excellent balance—less touristy and crowded than Kraków, yet with a vibrant and authentic student life, more dynamic than what you’ll find in Gdańsk. In truth, though, you can hardly go wrong with any of them.
Kraków is unquestionably a must-see. If you don’t mind large crowds and slightly higher prices, it is arguably the best overall choice. Gdańsk, meanwhile, is the most tranquil of the three and remains my personal favourite. Its proximity to the sea, its beautiful architecture, and its abundance of charming cafés and restaurants make it especially appealing.
As for the other cities: Warsaw is impressive, but it is a fast-paced, sprawling, and expensive metropolis. While there is no shortage of things to do and see, it can become overwhelming. Łódź has a lively student scene, but the city itself feels somewhat neglected and can be a bit gloomy compared with the other options. Lublin is lovely, interesting, and picturesque, though it is smaller; it’s more affordable, but there’s naturally a bit less to explore.
I wouldn’t choose Nysa. It’s a pleasant place, certainly, but far less significant and not really comparable with the rest.
