*The US announced it would classify four European left-wing groups as terrorist organizations. In addition to Antifa Ost in Germany, one group is based in Italy and the other two are in Greece.*

      So much for “isolationism”.

When do You We declare the GOP a fascist/terrorist organization too?

    3. ProfessorNoPuede on

You, back in the old days, the US had a problem with *fascists*.

My great uncle was in the resistance in WW2. Do you know how the nazis called him?

      Terrorist.

I’m German and I haven’t even heard of any “Antifa Ost”, let’s google what that is…

    9. DramaticSimple4315 on

So, antifa ost, how many divisions? A facebook page and three black masks?

I wonder if any of those braindead Americans have realized “AntiFa” is simply short for “Anti Fascist”.. and what that says about them

Let’s just hope the U.S. will not bombard Antifa‘s innercity bases now.

This is just another attempt by the Trump administration to justify declaring Antifa in the US a terrorist organisation, and the misuse of the national guard to harrass major democratic cities. The german group in question by the way is already persecuted by german authorities.

Make no mistake, the idea here is obvious. Associate this violent group with the non-violent sympathisers in the US, preferably by a forced confession of a german Antifa-Ost member (one of them is currently sitting in an Hungarian jail by the way), and then use the massive toolbox that are US anti terrorism laws to further harrass those who Trump deems political opponents.

Antifa ost isn’t even an actual organisation though, it’s mostly used as a collective term for various post 1990 activists and small Eastern city-based groups as far as I know.

      Good.

Only left extremists could possibly oppose this.

Europe should declare the Proud Boys who Trump said were nice people as Terrorists

    16. Living-Log-3537 on

Being a political target of Trump & co, quite often indicates something worthy of support.

Case by case, but a good indicator.

Today’s US president deserves a new term to be invented for him as fascist and terrorist have become grossly overused and deprived of its original meaning. I vote for Hateshitkill&stealist can be shortened to Hashitkilleast

    18. I still believe AfD wants to split Germany into east and west again. This might just be another step for it.

Have fun finding any organisational structures of that group (there are none)

    20. MrMudd88 on

How come none if the Nazi groups are being designated AS terrorist groups?
