Ideology aside, this is what has driven the growth in then 90s and 00s, so if it’s going down, then strictly economically speaking, it’s very bad news.

Basically, German brands needed to hire Chinese guys to make cars for the Chinese market and stop trying to think like they do, just let them make their own cars and batteries in China , they have proven that they can do it better and for cheaper !
Nothing stops VW from hiring all the car and bettery guy in China for the Asian markets, BUT do they do it ??? NOPE, they still think the EU can know what Asians want in a car.
They already copied whatever they needed.
Geopolitics diversification, but also German middle class bleeding out, getting replaced by Chinese middle class.
Wealthier middle class in China might impact their political system in the end.
I think Germany’s chance lies in research, getting all the brightest minds of the world who want to immigrate, while reforming the funding/hierarchies in science sectors – instead of getting every uneducated economical immigrant who “lost” his passport while getting smuggled by Russian friendly countries over the Mediterranean…
Still can’t understand why EU still trades so much with China and the other major power on the other side of the Atlantic. There are plenty of other countries in the global south that we can trade & invest in. Let’s move away from a bipolar to a multipolar world.

To punish China, Germany should stop selling everything to China, such as vehicles, machinery, chemicals and starve out into submission. Germany should also stop selling to the US and starve the US of German make clunkers. Hahaha!
