Reefer Madness! God the guardian is trash. Weed should have been legalised years ago. Instant revenue stream for the government, it hurts organised crime, the cops can find better things to do, and we all get to benefit from a safe high instead of drinking.

Has nobody witnessed psychosis due to Alcohol!
It’s just as debilitating and horrific!

Alcohol psychosis is defined as a mental disorder resulting from chronic alcohol consumption, which can manifest as conditions such as alcoholic paranoia or alcohol hallucinosis, characterized by delusions, hallucinations, and other psychotic symptoms.

Well, this is obviously a cannabis scare story being perpetrated by people with a vested interest in keeping it going. But glad to see some progress has been made because I didn’t see the mention of “Super Skunk” anywhere.

Willing to bet that the problems these people have aren’t really linked to cannabis use.

I’ve met Katie during one moment where she felt she was God trying to kill herself in traffic.

She was genuinely very nice despite what was going on, she treated the police and paramedics that turned up with kindness.

      I’m glad she’s doing well.

its not for everyone , if someone has pre existing mental health then some conditions could be made worse

      I’m still for legalising though

It needs to be legalised; these scare stories are wild, you shouldn’t be smoking it if you have a mental condition.

These are tragic cases, but there is no good evidence of a causal relationship between cannabis use and florid/peristent mental illness. You never get to hear about the hundreds of thousands of cannabis users In the UK who don’t have psychotic breakdowns, because they wouldn’t make good stories for the press.

Cannabis junkies are still junkies. There’s no safe drug period.

      That’s weird.

Before medical cannabis became a legal thing in the UK, no one ever really batted an eye at cannabis’s wide usage and its association with psychosis.

Also, I thought we had high-potency cannabis (20% THC+) available on the illegal market for decades. Why did it become an issue now?

Bad things can and will happen with any substance but the harms of weed are negligible compared to alcohol or cigarettes

      And I don’t like weed

I did when I was younger and had legal access to it (USA), but I don’t like it anymore and don’t use it

I’m an alcoholic and that shit has gotten me into a lot more trouble than weed ever could

Some people just have dodgy reactions to stuff whatever it is
I was tried on amitripline for a time in a failed attempt at treating neuropathic pain and aside from a couple side effects weren’t warned about, that stuff had me dreaming the household appliances were chasing me around the sodding house like a horror version of toy story 😀

Can’t comment on recreational stuff as I don’t partake, I’ve heard good things about medical cannabis but aside from the extortionate cost, its not practical if you are working certain jobs even if you were willing to disregard the stigma surrounding it

This is the reason why I think it should be legalised. So that checks and measures can be put into place.
