      A qualification is not the same thing as an education.

      Unfortunately I don’t think it’s a really good comparison. A lot of successful and smart people working in the trades (electricians, plumbers, mechanics etc) are probably doing better than someone with a bog standard Bachelor of Arts degree from a university.

      A lot of university degrees nowadays are useless

      Quantity versus quality. Ireland could improve its education significantly even just by emulating countries that do better than it in quality

      All nice, but then you pay a fortune for a tradesmen cause everybody has a degree and work in the office.

      I know so many without a Bachelor’s Degree who I would call well educated whereas, I know many with one who I wouldn’t leave a pet goldfish with for it’s own safety

      I do wonder what the data is relying on.

      For instance, is it places offered to people, is it graduates, is everyone resident, is it based on the most recent census?
