Ciao a tutti,

    Paese Superficie terrestre (km²)
    San Tommaso e Principe 964
    Kiribati 811
    Bahrein 778
    La dominica 750
    Tonga 720
    Singapore 726
    Micronesia 700
    Santa Lucia 610
    Andorra 468
    Palau 459
    Le Seychelles 457
    Antigua e Barbuda 442
    Barbados 431
    Saint Vincent e Grenadine 389
    Grenada 340
    Malta 315
    Maldive 300
    Saint Kitts e Nevis 261
    Isole Marshall 180
    Liechtenstein 160

Putin’s land loss is so bad, even Monopoly would kick him out of the game!

      – About the size of new york city (1200sq km)

      – 3times the size of Gaza(365sq km)

And then compare that to the size russia has occupied –

      – Before 2022, Russia occupied 42,000 km2 (16,000 sq mi) of Ukrainian territory (Crimea, and parts of Donetsk and Luhansk)

      – an additional 119,000 km2 (46,000 sq mi) after its full-scale invasion by March 2022, a total of 161,000 km2

Hoping this ember will grow into wildfires.

It’s not hard to understand 1000 km2. It’s a piece of land about 10 km on one side and 100 km on the other, or 20 km on the short side and 50 km on the long side, or a square approx 32 km on each side.

    5. US Cities

San Antonio is 1,056 square kilometers

      Dallas is 887.20 square kilometers

Los Angeles is 1,215 square kilometers

New York City is 1,224 square kilometers

      Indianapolis is 953 square kilometers

Kansas City is 826 square kilometers

Nice! This helps people all over the world understand the scope of what Ukraine has done.

It’s funny you should write this. My local council area is 8500km2 and has a population of 6000 people and 6 towns. It’s a few farms in my head even though I know it’s not like that in kursk.

    8. It’s not that hard to visualize!

      1000 km^2 is a blob approximately 32km by 32km.

      Or 20mi by 20mi.

You can visualize 20 miles right? Or 32 kilometers? At least one of those?

So just find a squarish area near you that is that far on a side.

It roughly corresponds to a major metropolitan area..

    9. What Ukraine did was driving around small pockets of resistance / Groups of Orc for which they had no time/resources to transport to prison camps.

Since they don’t have much supplies, they are not really a threat. And thus the Ukrainian fast incursion succeeded.

Most experts says they are not fully in control, but they have made enough of a difference that Putler supposedly has mobilized the defensive ring around Moscow.

Putler’s cook once showed him that Russia has no defense in depth, only a thin layer in front.

They almost captured the size of Faroe Islands which is 1,393 km2
