      They can’t even prove it’s a homicide yet, so they can’t charge him with anything anyway.

      But they obviously have their main suspect in the crosshairs.

      So they take him in for questioning and probe various things like his whereabouts at the time of Mike’s disappearance. 

      If there’s any discrepancies, this can be used as evidence against him in future.

      Notice there’s no mention in any of the articles about a file being prepared for the DPP. Wonder if it means they have nothing on him.
