Not everyone needs 2-3 bed apartments . Some couples don’t plan on having kids and 1 bed apartments(which there is NOT a lot of here in Ireland ) would suit us plenty , also plenty of single people out there . 1 bed apartments would go a long way to help relieve some of the stress on the market today

Finally, some changes which might increase supply. Not everyone looking to buy is a family needing room for a pony.

We do need more studios and one beds for singletons but they need to be proportionally cheaper than two beds.
This was done already and there is no mention about f how much this will reduce the cost or is what the market will bear!
The banks always seem to be reluctant to give mortgages for 1 beds as there is no option to rent out another room like you can with a 2 bed.
The Government is always thinking of, could be, might do, looking into, considering, exploring the possibility of. Same headlines for the last 15+ years.
